Halloween Makeup Tutorial! | leeannpatricia

Its been a long time, I know but I'm trying to get back into blogging weekly! I have been super busy with college and that's been my main focus at the moment, so I hope you understand!
So its nearly Halloween! and although I'm not doing anything this year I have to say I'm super excited for all the crazy tutorials!
So I decided to go for a bright but bold makeup look and I absolutely love it. Its super quick and easy to do for your Halloween night! So if your one that doesn't know what to do for Halloween this is perfect for you!

So lets get started..

Step 1
Its pretty simple so just prime and conceal your eyes!

Step 2
You want to create a thick winged line using Gel eyeliner and fine liner brush when you've got it perfect you want to drag the end of the liner into the crease to create a 'cut crease'. When that is done you want to blend the line you created for the crease upwards!

Step 3
Once that is done, its time for abit of colour! You can choose any colour you want but I thought Orange and Yellow seemed to fit the theme. So put the orange half way across the eye and apply with a flat eyeshadow brush, and then apply the yellow. You want to blend the two colours together so grab a fluffy brush and blend, blend, blend!

Step 4
Its time for a pop of white! (You can either grab a glitter white shadow and a matte white) So what I did was grab another flat brush and applied the white into the yellow and in the corners of the eyes!

Step 5
Now put  black into the crease so grab a matte black on a fluffy brush and blend that crease till your happy with it!

Now you can apply big lashes if you want to or just use mascara...but your done!

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial! If you want to know anything else please feel free to leave a comment or email me! Also if you want to see an in depth tutorial feel free to comment and maybe I will make a video for you all!

Clothing Haul! | leeannpatricia

So last night I was thinking what I could do next for a blog post and a Haul sprang to mind! I have currently just got back off a unexpected driving lesson eating a pot of Nutella while I type this out. I wasn't sure how I could get any good pictures of these purchases purely because the weather is awful and my lighting in my room is dreadful but I decided to go with it and had a photoshoot in my room.. so here is my haul!

On Saturday I went down to shopping centre not far away from where I live, and they have some such an amazing range of shops! I'm literally obsessed.
So first we went in a few shops and I couldn't find anything I liked, then we went into Zara.
_____

This is from "Zara trf" I found it on a rale with a punch of colours and I absolutely love how it looks on its also super soft and comfy. I absolutely Iove wearing baggy t-shirts on one shoulder and I fell in love with this pattern and how it fell when I wore it. Its black and white with a V-neck, it was also £12.99 and in the size medium.

_____

Next I had a rome around Topshop but I couldn't really see anything that caught my eye and plus I was saving myself for one shop in particular! Its called 'Ark' and its my favourite shops in the world! It's full of some amazing clothes from shops such as Motel, Hearts and Bows, Umenda etc. When we finally reached the shop there was 20% off with student cards and there was already a sale on with most of the summer clothes so obviously I took advantage!

I fell in love with this top when I came across it in the shop! Its from a brand called Hearts & Bows, its a white crop top, sleeveless with cute little patterns on it. It is a little see through but its perfectly fine if you wear a white bra, you could defiantly pair this up with a skirt, shorts or even your favourite pair of trousers. This was in the sale from £16.99 down to £8 and I got it in the size 6.

This top is from Motel, and I was super happy when I saw this was in the sale because I love the style of this top, its something different! There was other patterns but I liked how the sunflowers looked on the top, its add's a bit of a summery feel to a cold season. Its a halter neck top, and is super comfortable. I'd defiantly recommend wearing a strapless bra! I got this in the size 'S', also this was £17.99 down to £10!

This skirt is also from Hearts & Bows, I thought it had a little vintage feel to it! I loved the colours and how it fell when I wore it. It is a little baggy around my waist but there's always room to grow into it! You can wear this skirt anytime of the wear with a pair of tights or just for summer and you can also pair it with a plain white crop top and some white pumps! I just thought it was super cute and also another bargain, this was £17 down to £8, and I got it in the size 8!

I've been wanting shorts like this for a long time, as I love the lace and how summery they are! I'm a lil obsessed with the whole sunflower pattern at the moment so I had to get these! They are super comfortable, light weight, and baggy. They pull in at the waist which is great, the only bad thing is that you have to pull them up really high that your bum cheeks are on show a bit, but I suppose you've got to flaunt it! These are from Umenda, I got them in a size 'S'. They were £19.99 down to £8!

Which is your favourite piece from this haul?

I hope you enjoyed my little haul! If you want me to find any links please let me know!

Recent Beauty Purchases | leeannpatricia

Its finally October and its getting a lil chilly. I love that I can wear a fluffy jumper around town and not be cold but I can't wait for the nights in watching films and drinking hot chocolate to stay warm!
So its a new month and as its me I always buy something new for every month (a bad habit i guess)  So here's my first purchases of the month!

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation

Now I've been needing a new cheap foundation to wear on my lazy days and this foundation is perfect for only £6.99 from Superdrug. Now I'm not a 100% sure what it will be like but I've heard good things for a good friend of mine that used this foundation a lot! I got the lightest colour which is 010 Light Porcelain, I got this colour as I'm pale anyway but as winter is getting closer and closer I will be looking like a snowman in no time, so this was a perfect match. When trying the test out in the shop it seemed like a very smooth and easy to blend consistency but if you want to hear a review then let me know and I'll be on it!

Collection 2000 Lasting Pefection Concealer

Now if your obsessed with makeup like I am, you've probably heard the hype about this little beauty. This is the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, and it's amazing. I've had this concealer before and I loved it, however it was a little pricey for the smallest product and the colour was a little bit off for my skin tone, but I learned to live with it and blend it perfectly and honestly it was amazing for covering them beautiful spots we all get sometimes. Now when I first bought this product last year it was at least £5 but I got it from SuperDrug for £3.99, as it was on offer! I defiantly recommend you all go out and get this bad boy if you haven't got it already!

Eylure Pre-Glued Lashes

These eyelashes are absolutely beautiful and as soon as I saw them I had to get them! They are pre-glued which I dislike but you can pick the pre-glue of and use normal eyelash glue (which is what I do) They are super natural, wispy and i'm 100% in love with these! The lashes are from SuperDrug and were on offer for £3.56!

If you have any questions feel free to contact me, or if you would like me to do a review on any of these products let me know!

Favourite Lipsticks | leeannpatricia

So its that time again, another blog post is here! I'm sharing with you all my favourite lipsticks ranging from nudes, to pinks and to reds! So keep reading if you want to find out more!
I've recently been wearing lipsticks a lot more than I used too as I think it add's some colour to my makeup and as I never used to wear it I looked very plain jane!

MAC

Left; Viva Glam GAGA 2 'Amplified'
Center; Viva Glam GAGA ' Lustre
Right; Satin Range in the colour 'SNOB' AC0

I've had these three lipsticks for a long time now and I'm still loving them! They are both so creamy and last most of the day, but I'd recommend carrying it in your bag so you can re-apply it. They are all beautiful colours and are very bright if you apply them too much. However the only bad thing is the price, recently Mac lipsticks are about £15 which is super pricey but when I got snob it was about £11 or £13 which is still pricey but reasonable. The two Lady GAGA lipsticks I got for christmas off my mother.

Rimmel London

Left; Lasting finish by Kate in the colour 101
Center; Lasting finish by Kate in the colour 107
Right; Volume booster lipstick in the colour 102 Foxy

I have always loved Rimmel London lipsticks and I have quite a lot lying around in my draw. However these three have to be my favourites. Especially the Kate Moss range, all the colours are stunning. The lipstick on the left is a little bit like snob so if you want a cheaper alternative then defiantly go for the Rimmel London one, the center lipstick is a very deep red that has a purple/pink undertone too it, the last one on the left I have had for a very long time but I've only recently re-discovered it, but its a very nude/peachy colour and I wear it every single day, the good thing is if you have small lips then this lipstick contains a volume booster which will plump up your lips! These lipsticks are about £5/£6.99.

Topshop Lipsticks

Topshop; INHIBITION

When I discovered this lipstick I was on the hunt for a dark red but instead I found this dark purple colour and I fell in love with it! I absolutely love the packaging topshop does for there cosmetics it immediantly draws you in! This colour does wear away really quick so you will defiantly have to re-apply it throughout the day. This lipstick is £8, which is a great price!

Chanel

Chanel; 96 ISCHIA

This has to be one of the most expensive lipsticks I've brought but it was totally worth it! Now this is a lipshine and doesn't leave a harsh colour on your lips but it leaves a lovely hint of colour which is completely different to all my other lipsticks! Now I got this ages ago but I try not to use it on the daily because of how expensive it is! Luckily I brought this from Duty-Free coming back from holiday so it wasn't the full price. It was about 22 Euros which isn't too bad. However its a nice way of wearing lipstick that isn't too bright or bold, it's a very natural purple/pink colour.

Versace

Now your probably thinking isn't this the most expensive lipstick you've brought? well... no because I didn't buy it! I was given it by my boyfriends mom which I was super excited about! I absolutely love this colour, its a very Matte red colour unlike all my other red's I have. I'm not entirely sure what this shade it called as I couldn't find it on the packaging but i'm sure you'll be able to find out on the internet somewhere! This is a hydrating lipstick and its tested in a dermatologist's clinic (if any of you wanted to know). I also don't want to use it too much because of how beautiful the colour is and I never want it to go but I have wore this colour once or twice and it was such a lovely colour!

Real Techniques Duo-Fibre Collection | leeannpatricia

Hello there! Once again, I'm sorry about the lack of posts recently but I've been super busy sorting out things for my college that I start next week! But I'm back with a review of my new Real Techniques Duo-Fiber Collection!
I've been wanting these brushes for such a long time and I've finally got them! I haven't had them that long and I'm already loving them. I have heard some mixed reviews about these brushes but the good thing about them is that they give a very light natural application that is build able which is always a bonus.

Some information about the duo-fibre brushes -
  • Its a multitasker brush that can work with cream's, liquids and powders that create a airbrushed finish.
  •  It also has extended aluminum handles that are lightweight and easy to use
  • Ultra-plush, synthetic bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free
These brushes are duo-fiber now you might not know what that means but don't worry, I'm here to help. So having duo-fiber bristles mean they have two different synthetic fibers in the brush which will help you create soft layers and add texture to your makeup. They will also leave high definition results and an airbrushed finish.

Duo-Fiber Face Brush

This is the duo-fiber face brush, it can be used for a light weight application and blending face powder's, pigment's or maybe even liquid products into the face. When I used this brush earlier today it left a very smooth and airbrushed look to my face. The bristles are very soft and as they are synthetic they do not pick up as much product which is perfect for an everyday look as it makes your makeup look very natural!

Duo-Fiber Contour Brush

This is the Duo-fiber contour brush, and is used for controlled contouring and sculpting. I absolutely love this brush as sometimes I find contouring my face with a more dense brush can leave harsh lines and picks up too much product. However with this it picks up just the right amount and looks amazing as you can control the amount product you want to put on your face.

Duo-Fiber Eye Brush

This is the Duo-fiber eye brush. This has to be my favourite brush out of the collection. Its the perfect blending brush, it leaves a soft finish and as it only grabs a little bit of product you can focus on the small parts of the eye when blending. I found this brush was super easy to use when creating a smokey eye and will blend the colour out perfectly.
I would definitely recommend this fluffy brush for beginners and its so easy to use! This brush can also be used to apply concealer under the eye's if you don't wish to use it for eye shadow!

I definitely recommend this collection! Its absolutely incredible and leaves a soft finish. I think it add's something different to the whole real techniques range.
This product is about £23 in boots.

Arabian Nights Sleek Palette | leeannpatricia

As some of you may know from my recent blogposts, I have treated myself to the Limited Edition Sleek Palette, called Arabian Nights which I'm absolutely in love with!
The colours are so perfect for night time events and are so pigmented! I completely fell in love with the colours as soon as I saw this palette.
Heres a picture of the colours that are included in this palette

(Photo from reallyree)

Now personally I wouldn't use these colours for everyday use apart from the two lighter ones. I find this palette is very glam, but sometimes you may need to re-apply colour when blending due to the amount of glitter. Also you may find that fall outs when using glittery eye-shadow will be more noticeable, so after you've finished your look make sure you clean up afterwards.

Heres a few swatches so show you some colours, I am also aware that the photo quality is poor but I didn't bring my better camera around my boyfriends house when I was meant to be taking pictures for this blog post.

I absolutely love that sleek comes up with so many creative names for each colour they have! I think its such a lovely touch to a product! My favourite colours have to be Scheherazade's tale, Gold Souk, Black magic and 1001 nights! However all the other colours are as beautiful too! So I'd defiantly recommend buying this product while its still available! Add it too your collection because it's defiantly worth it!
You can buy this palette from superdrug for £7.99!

Now I thought it would be a good idea so show something I created with this palette earlier!
This look is super easy, I used Gold souk all over the lid and then blended in sultans garden and hocus pocus, i felt like it left a very autumn vibe and brought some warmth to the eye, I'd recommened blending some purple into the crease to warm things up a little bit more, if you wanted too!

Feel free to ask more questions about this look and go re-create it!
